Counter Sales Parts Advisor

The Position:

We are currently recruiting for full time Counter Sales Parts Advisor for our Drogheda Branch


Location:   Drogheda Job Reference CSPA/DROG/07/25 - Closing Date 03/08/2025



Hours: You will work 40 Hours per week, working between the hours of 08:30 and 17:30 Monday to Friday. In addition you will be required to work each alternate Saturday between 09:00 and 13:00


Job Role:


The purpose of the role will be to help maximise sales by establishing excellent relationships with existing and new customers to assist in the achievements of the branch sales and profit targets. 


The successful applicant will work as part of a team dealing with a variety of sectors, predominantly automotive but also including engineering customers. The range of customer enquiries is very wide and contact is both at the counter and over the phone



The main duties for the role will be:


  • Maximise branch sales through effective parts sales and service


  • Handle customer parts enquiries at the counter efficiently and professionally


  • Ensure accurate supply and invoicing of all parts


  • Work collaboratively within the team and communicate effectively


  • Attend supplier training and presentations as required


  • Undertake ongoing training and personal development as instructed



Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

  • To be considered for the role you must meet the following essential criteria.



Essential Criteria:


  • Good knowledge of parts, tools, and equipment
  • Great record of customer service
  • Competent computer skills (electronic parts catalogues, product lookup systems)
  • Friendly, reliable, and proactive attitude


Desirable Criteria:


  • Background in automotive sales or 2 years as a motor mechanic
  • Previous experience with MAM Autopart and Autocat Software
  • Full Driving License
